The work principles of infrared color sorter

2021-Mar-31

Want to know how does infrared color sorter? First of all, we'll introduce from the two parts bellow:

1. Infrared equipment, infrared light source, infrared radiator

Wrap the resistance wire around the porcelain rod. After power-on, the resistance wire will generate heat, which will increase the temperature of the carbon rod covered by the resistance wire (generally not more than 500°C), and emit long-wave infrared rays mainly.

In recent years, infrared has been widely used in military, artificial satellites, industry, health, and scientific research. Infrared fluoroscope and night vision respectively use different properties of infrared. The previous night vision is because human eyes can’t see infrared rays, but specially designed cameras and night vision devices specifically accept infrared rays, so people can’t see, but cameras can take pictures, because infrared rays are actually everywhere. , It is bright for infrared cameras and night vision goggles.

Perspective uses infrared wavelengths that are longer than visible light, and can pass through some fabrics that visible light cannot pass through (such as blended cotton and nylon), so through a certain selection of filtering, you can get the image behind these fabrics.

In the broadest sense, a sensor is a device that can convert physical or chemical quantities into electrical signals that are easy to use. An infrared sensor is one of them. With the development of modern science and technology, the application of infrared sensors has been very extensive. In the field of color sorters, infrared sensors are also used, which can be used for effective perspective when the color selection has overlapping materials, which is effective for the rejected objects. Sorting.

2. The infrared sensor in the camera-night vision and perspective function

Infrared sensor, in the state of night vision, the digital camera will emit infrared light invisible to the naked eye to illuminate the object being photographed, turn off the infrared filter, no longer block infrared rays from entering the CCD, infrared rays enter after being reflected by the object The lens performs imaging. At this time, what we see is the image formed by the reflection of infrared rays, not the image formed by the reflection of visible light, that is, at this time, images that are invisible to the naked eye can be captured in a dark environment (after materials are overlapped).

The infrared night vision function can shoot in total darkness. Even the naked eye can't distinguish objects clearly, and now it can also be shot clearly. The feature of this kind of night vision is that it can be shot in the complete absence of light, but because it uses infrared shooting, it is impossible to restore the color, so the shot picture is monochromatic, and the image will turn green.

The use of infrared sensor and CCD sensor at the same time has the following advantages:

Two different types of sensors act on the selected materials at the same time, with a higher degree of selection

Through the imaging principles of different sensors, different methods are selected according to different materials, and the methods are diversified, and foreign materials can be partially selected.
